When I click on the "Lock Screen" it locks immediately,so far so good.Screen goes to blank,then the password box and mouse pointer remains always visible,for hours.This is not normal. Mode on gnome-screensaver is selected to blank. Gnome-screensaver is not working normal,my idle time is set for 5 minutes,after 5 min,screen fade to black for 2 seconds and after the display goes to black it turns back on. Now,I go to the "Power Management Preferences" and uncheck "Dim the laptop panel when idle" and everything works perfect.I lock the screen,password box disappears after 2 seconds,screen goes black after 5 minutes. The gnome-screensaver problem "fade to black for 2 seconds and after the display goes to black it turns back on" is history when I uncheck "Dim the laptop panel when idle" in Power Management Preferences.
