reply to sebastien: Until yesterday, a long update with synaptic resulted in this:
* the update dialog opens; * two buttons in the taskbar are shown at once: one for the dialog and one for the main window; * they both start flashing; * the button corresponding to the main window is impossible to stop from flashing. To stop the flashing you have to wait for the update to end. I haven't yet verified if this is still happening.
