That's a good question. I don't think it has a good answer. Wait...
Interesting... I opened a DVD on my room-mate's account on this computer but usually we use my account to watch movies. The apps in his account seem to run the color fine without having deleted any of his config files. Just now I started opening up all sorts of different media players on my account and found that some of them still have this problem and some of them don't. Perhaps all of these programs do some sort of video test the first time that they're run and create these files with 'optimal' settings but a driver has been changed and those files need to be deleted so that they can re-detect the 'optimal' settings. some of the config files I found that may be affected: .gnome2/Totem/xine_config .gstreamer-0.10/registry.i486.xml .vlc/vlcrc .gxine/config .mplayer/gui.conf -- Black & White Video Output (Gutsy) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149791 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to totem in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
