Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus
Let's say that : 1 - I copy 25 files from my HD to an external firewire HD -> everything OK 2 - I copy the same 25 files plus 5 more in the same way 3 - Ubuntu ask me what I want to do with the 25 files that are already on the external HD 4 - I say "ignore" each time it asks (25 times) 5 - the copy window appears and the copy of the 5 additional files begins At this stage, in this case, the copy window tells me "copying file 1 from 30" and shows me a remaining time as if it was copying all over again (more than 20 minutes) It should say "copying file 1 from 5" and it should show me the only remaining copying time for these 5 additional files (a couple of minutes) Description: Ubuntu 7.10 Release: 7.10 nautilus: Installé : 1:2.20.0-0ubuntu7.1 Candidat : 1:2.20.0-0ubuntu7.1 Table de version : *** 1:2.20.0-0ubuntu7.1 0 500 http://fr.archive.ubuntu.com gutsy-updates/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1:2.20.0-0ubuntu7 0 500 cdrom://Ubuntu-Studio 7.10 _Gutsy Gibbon_ - Release i386 (20071015) gutsy/main Packages 500 http://fr.archive.ubuntu.com gutsy/main Packages ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- copying files that had already been copied with nautilus https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/217209 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
