its ~7mb thats about an hours download on dialup. maybe the answer is to add a gui to gnome-app-install with a check box by all the recomends and suggests for a package, so you can choose if you want them. but i dont imagine that fits in a dapper time frame. -- no help files https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/3582
