Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

Lenovno N200 3000 Type 0687-27U
Ubuntu 8.04 - Hardy

(Same behavior with pm-utils cmd. pm-hibernate)

Hibernating the computer works, current state is written to swap and
system resumes just fine.

However, in order to actually get the system to power down after hibernate is
done writing state to disk I must
hold the power button on the laptop until the computer shuts off. That is, I
wait until the HDD notification light has stopped
blinking and power down manually.

When I turn the comp. back on, hibernate resumes without a hitch.

** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
