Public bug reported:

I have two problems in Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron:

1. When on battery power, the brightness of the screen of my laptop dims
considerably after a while. When I plug in the AC power, the screen
stays dimmed. It should go to 100 % brightness, as it does in Ubuntu
7.10.

2. There is no slider for regulation of the amount of screen brightness
in System - Preferences - Power Management - On Battery Power. There
should be a slider, as there is in Ubuntu 7.10.

Greetz, Pjotr.
