Public bug reported:

Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
Dapper FL-6:

Say I have folder tree in the home directory (where i have permission to
delete directories/files using gui). for e.g., home>dir1>dir2> dir3>dir4
etc...where 4 is inside 3 and 3 is inside 2 and so on.

if I am at dir4, I could see the directory path to dir4 from home as
shown above. I then use the up arrow and navigate to one of the previous
directories, dir1. Now there are 2 things to notice:

1. the dir path on the nautilus is not adjusting(removing the further
dir location such as dir2,3, and 4 from the path) with it except that
the current dir is highlighted on the button.

2. This is more serious:
While I am at home folder i delete the dir1. (which of course removes
everything) but I can still click on the dir1,dir2,dir3, and dir4 (the entire
tree is still there on the panel). it gives error messages of course.
Would it be a wise thing to have the option of showing only the path upto the
current dir location?

thanks
