Yes, just now, using a fully updated system, I can still get this crash.
Also, I just found an easier way than I previously described to
reproduce this crash.

Steps:
1. Enable Compiz
2. Add Workspace Switcher to gnome-panel
3. Move mouse over workspace switcher and wait until tooltip appears
4. Quickly move your mouse onto the tooltip, it doesn't happen most of the 
time, but sometimes, gnome-panel will vanish (crash), and a crash report window 
pops up.

I can't reproduce this crash with any of the other applet's tooltips on
the panel.

Attached is a picture of the tooltip (it normal isn't transparent, but
for some reason it fades when I take a screenshot)
