Yes, just now, using a fully updated system, I can still get this crash. Also, I just found an easier way than I previously described to reproduce this crash.
Steps: 1. Enable Compiz 2. Add Workspace Switcher to gnome-panel 3. Move mouse over workspace switcher and wait until tooltip appears 4. Quickly move your mouse onto the tooltip, it doesn't happen most of the time, but sometimes, gnome-panel will vanish (crash), and a crash report window pops up. I can't reproduce this crash with any of the other applet's tooltips on the panel. Attached is a picture of the tooltip (it normal isn't transparent, but for some reason it fades when I take a screenshot) ** Attachment added: "tooltip.png" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/12618904/tooltip.png ** Changed in: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- gnome-panel crashed with SIGSEGV in g_object_get() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/199380 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
