This bug exists in every evolution-component, every evolution version I remember. It always occurs when the left-pane needs to be resized, which will happen if the pane-title exceeds a certain width due to strings not wrapped This is partly locale-specific, due to different string-lenght (e.g. german strings are often longer than the english counterparts). Especially in the calendar-component this is annoying for me, e.g. when having a very long date-string this will happen as well (Donnerstag, 17. Dezember or something like that). E.g. with english-locale this will not happen, because there date-strings are using abbrevations. There is an open upstream-bug-report about that, but at the moment I do not remember the bug number. On the screenshot posted by stefanlew you can see that the bold Mailbox-title is no longer visible and the status-strings are printed in full lenght. The width for these status-strings (xxx ungelesen, xxx insgesamt) is allocated not resizing the content of the right-side, but by simply adding the newly required space which causes a window wider than screen-resolution, at least at 1024x768.
