Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gvfs
When connecting my Sansa using either the original firmware or rockbox, I get the following error: Original Firmware: Unable to mount SanDisk Corp. Sansa E200 series Error initializing camera: -60: Could not 'reserve' the device exclusively (maybe the correct translation is allocate or assign, I'm not sure) rockbox: Unable to mount SanDisk Corp. Sansa E200 series Error initializing camera: -1: unspecified error Strange thing is the "camera". dmesg output in both cases like: [ 9027.829064] usb 4-2: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 19 [ 9027.964074] usb 4-2: configuration #128 chosen from 1 choice [ 9027.989083] scsi14 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices [ 9028.001437] usb-storage: device found at 19 [ 9028.001444] usb-storage: waiting for device to settle before scanning when running in a terminal only it shows: [ 8414.736713] usb 4-2: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 14 [ 8414.891757] usb 4-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice [ 8414.906318] scsi12 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices [ 8414.912759] usb-storage: device found at 14 [ 8414.912766] usb-storage: waiting for device to settle before scanning [ 8419.911214] usb-storage: device scan complete [ 8419.913451] scsi 12:0:0:0: Direct-Access Rockbox Internal Storage 0.00 PQ: 0 ANSI: 4 [ 8419.916816] scsi 12:0:0:1: Direct-Access Rockbox SD Card Slot 0.00 PQ: 0 ANSI: 4 [ 8419.922439] sd 12:0:0:0: [sdf] 7854080 512-byte hardware sectors (4021 MB) [ 8419.925790] sd 12:0:0:0: [sdf] Write Protect is off [ 8419.925797] sd 12:0:0:0: [sdf] Mode Sense: 0b 00 00 08 [ 8419.925801] sd 12:0:0:0: [sdf] Assuming drive cache: write through [ 8419.935907] sd 12:0:0:0: [sdf] 7854080 512-byte hardware sectors (4021 MB) [ 8419.939292] sd 12:0:0:0: [sdf] Write Protect is off [ 8419.939298] sd 12:0:0:0: [sdf] Mode Sense: 0b 00 00 08 [ 8419.939302] sd 12:0:0:0: [sdf] Assuming drive cache: write through [ 8419.939308] sdf: sdf1 sdf2 [ 8419.944978] sd 12:0:0:0: [sdf] Attached SCSI removable disk [ 8419.945039] sd 12:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg5 type 0 [ 8419.950623] sd 12:0:0:1: [sdg] Attached SCSI removable disk [ 8419.950684] sd 12:0:0:1: Attached scsi generic sg6 type 0 So I assume this to be a gnome problem. ** Affects: gvfs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Cannot mount my Sansa E260 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/198516 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gvfs in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
