I repeat my comments in bug #35141:

This is, IMHO, a counterintuitive behaviour. Just consider _any_ of the
electrical gear in your household, say your TV. You click On/Off, it powers up.
You click On/Off again, it powers down, just that. Your TV does not show an on
screen menu which forces you to go get the remote (note that the keyboard/mouse
are not always that close to the CPU) just to confirm that yes, you really
wanted to power it off.

There is absolutely no point in forcing the user to reach the keyboard/mouse to
confirm the action. If one wanted to do this, one would select LogOut directly
from the menu, which is just two clicks away. This change in behavior renders
the power-off button rather useless.

Please return the physical power button to its old, pre-Dapper status: pressing
it powers-down the PC. Or, even better, add an option in the energy settings
dialog which allows one to choose whether to hibernate, restart or shutdown (or
to choose each time).
