I can see how this could be a very useful feature for mouse users but I agree with the other laptop users--this feature is extremely frustrating for me because I accidentally trigger it all the time on my touchpad. And yes, my windows flash wildly when it happens. :-) Picture someone spinning the scroll wheel on a mouse at some very high RPM rate--each window that gets focus raises itself to the foreground for a fraction of a second, until the next window gets focus and raises, etc.
It would be wonderful if this feature had an enable/disable setting on the Window List Preferences pop-up dialog.
