On gutsy, I get a larger grey square at the bottom somewhat offcenter from the screen with just a grey square, no controls. + + In Ubuntu 7.04, Volume Control was no issue; the QuickKeys (Volume Up/Down/Mute) on the side worked very well. Also the keyboard shortcuts (Fn/PageUp and Fn/PageDown) were equally smooth. + When I clicked on the Panel's Sound Icon, moving the volume slider was also smooth and accurate. + + In Ubuntu 7.10, the Quick Keys and shortcut keys are erratic, meaning + that a single tap of a key can one time mute the sound or move it to + maximum.
