I just installed Gutsy. As I started to play around with it, I noticed, that pressing shift key would freeze the keyboard input in File Browser, in the middle of renaming the folder.
As this happens, I can still rename directories through the terminal, and the change would be reflected in the File Browser, next time I open it. Sometimes the "freeze" is permanent throughout the session, I think, and sometimes it works again if you just open a new window. Either way, though, I have no way of inputting upper case characters in File Browser. Is this a bug I should report? I want to check with you all to make sure that I am not doing something silly, before I report it. I am using Dell Inspiron 530s, and the mouse and keyboard that came with it, I think, connected through KVM from Belkin. It was working just fine with Kubuntu 7.10, until I wiped it out and installed Ubuntu just now. I do have the SCIM for Japanese input, also. However, this happens in English keyboard mode. -- File browser doesn't response when I press a key https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/163325 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
