ltsp5 doesnt (and never did) use gdm, we use ldm, moved the bug to the proper package
** Description changed: - Binary package hint: gdm + Binary package hint: ldm I log in into Gnome via LTSP client, no problem. I can execute applications perfectly. I have been always able to log out then, and session ended with no problem. But since I updated Edubuntu 7.10 with the latest patches, I couldn't do it anymore. When I press "log out", nothing appears. Then, I'm not able to open any application other than Firefox, as far as I know. No error message is printed out. I have to manually switch off computer. It doesn't work, no matter which user is selected. Then, if I switch on computer again, I'm able to log in again using LTSP, but the same error appears when trying to exit. Ctrl+Alt+Backspace works stopping session, but then GDM is not starting again, so that's the reason why I posted bug here. Thanks!! ** Also affects: ldm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: gdm (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- Gnome not logging out with Edubuntu LTSP as a thin client https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/173244 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gdm in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
