Public bug reported: In the Filters -> Motion Blur dialog, you can select one of three types of blur: Linear, Radial and Zoom. Linear and Zoom blur are pretty much self-explanatory, but Radial does not give the expected results.
One would expect a radial blur to blur radially (!) - just as the spokes of a wheel extend radially from the axle. What this second type of blur actually does is blur in a rotational manner, as if the image were spun round in its plane. This second blur type should therefore be named "Rotational" or something similar. ** Affects: gimp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- radial blur is actually rotational blur https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/162268 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gimp in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
