Public bug reported: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/36395
Affects: gnome-pilot-conduits (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed Description: When synchronizing the Palm memos the filenames and the file contents are in ISO-8859-1. This is not very nice in an UTF-8 environment, as GNOME is. It is not possible to open such a file with simply clicking on the file. I have to open Gedit from menu, then open the file and first saying that the file has ISO characters. Creating a new memo on have to change the caracter set on save and eventually change the filename if it contains non ASCII characters. This is not user friendly. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
