Public bug reported: Binary package hint: totem
when adding a video file to playlist via drag and drop, it visualizes the correct one, but when it gets placed into the playlist, it's the incorrect file. here's what i did: i press the add button, and the file list shows up. I drag a file from the list to the current playlist (right pane of totem movie player), but it drags a different file. I noticed it happens only when dragging a file from a folder which has subfolders. I believe it's dragging files which are graphically represented correctly, but in reality the list is upside down, which is why when I drag the very first file in the list (which is sorted directly under the subfolders), it will drag the last file in proportion within the target directory. On the other hand, when I drag a video file from a folder with no subfolders, it will drag the correct file to playlist. I believe the problem has something to do with the file list rendering incorrectly for directories that have subfolders, but this is just speculation. i have no idea what's the culprit behind this odd behavior, but if anyone here can verify this on their own systems, i'd like to know so that an official bug report can be made. - Gary ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Sat Oct 27 22:29:57 2007 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 7.10 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/totem NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: totem-gstreamer 2.20.0-0ubuntu3 PackageArchitecture: i386 ProcCmdline: totem ProcCwd: /home/gary ProcEnviron: PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: totem Uname: Linux gary-nixbox 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Sun Oct 14 23:05:12 GMT 2007 i686 GNU/Linux ** Affects: totem (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug -- file list does not drag correct file to playlist https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/157940 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for totem in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
