Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gedit

I've just updated to Ubuntu 7.10 and set the window manager to 'compiz'
using the new 'Appearence' dialog in the System->Preferences menu.

This breaks gedit, now, however, because Compiz has stolen the ctrl-alt-
pgup and ctrl-alt-pgdn keyboard shortcuts for desktop switching. Not
surprising, because I don't know of other programs that use this
shortcut.

Could gedit please adopt either firefox standards (ctrl-pgup) or gnome-
terminal standards (ctrl-pgup) or Windows standards (ctrl-TAB) rather
than using something peculiarto just gedit?

Cheers
JP
