Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-applets
I have laptop with Intel Core 2 Duo processor. This processor has two speeds: powersave - processor works at 50% of its maximum frequency and performance - processor works at 100% of its maximum frequency. After installing Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy) I found out that Ubuntu starts in "balanced" CPU mode - CPU works at 50% of its maximum frequency unless more is needed, but nowhere this information is shown to the user. ** Affects: gnome-applets (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: cpu gnome ** Tags added: cpu gnome -- CPU frequency isn't shown in Gnome (Ubuntu 7.10) on systems with powersave enabled processors https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/156564 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-applets in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
