Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

After changing my GDM Login background color from brown to black,
I went in my home folder and made hidden files visible.
I made hidden files invisible again and saw a new folder I hadn't seen before,
"file:"
I deleted the folder from my home directory and restarted my PC.
Ubuntu took a while too boot, I had no background (black), and I couldn't open
nautilus as a normal user.
I restored the file from the trash (using gksudo nautilus) and got access to
nautilus again on next reboot.
I tried to reproduce this problem but it won't reoccur.
Booting to the desktop now does take a tad bit longer than it used to:
(background & panel loads -> panel disappears -> panels reappear -> usable
desktop)

** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
