Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution
Typically I keep a raft of sub-folders under the general "in-box" heading. By then creating rules to move routine in-coming mail to identified sub-folders I will be able to go directly to a subject-heading knowing that it contains all mail on that subject. This enables me to keep track of the different threads of my business activity. Since I am new to Evolution, and this was quick and relatively easy in Outlook (sorry, I had to start somewhere...), I was surprised that by the time I got to making the 75th sub-folder, Evolution was beginning to "complain" - if working increasingly slowly is a measure of "complaint" in this context. I hope this description is helpful regards John Hood ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Wed Oct 10 16:35:56 2007 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 7.04 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/evolution-2.10 Package: evolution 2.10.1-0ubuntu2 PackageArchitecture: i386 ProcCmdline: evolution --component=mail ProcCwd: /home/john ProcEnviron: PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: evolution Uname: Linux foxcombe01 2.6.20-16-generic #2 SMP Sun Sep 23 19:50:39 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- adding Inbox sub-folders is very slow... https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/151334 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for evolution in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
