Comment: Hello. I have the same problem that gothcat. When I try to view any video with totem, the bright is really high. I have to put it manually to 0 to view more or less fine. My distro is guadalinex v3 (guadalinex.org), a derivade from Ubuntu. I have a Ubuntu distro installed in another partition and the problem don't occur with it. The problem is only with totem, don't happen with mplayer or gXine. My video device is Intel 82852/855GM in a ACER travelmate 4050.
