No, It's not set to true. Anyway, I've not widely tested wheter that was the source of my crashes or not. Just uninstalled bug-buddy 1 day ago according to that workaround in the bug repport and had no more crashes. I'll keep you posted if a new crash occurs, so it wouldn't be bug-buddy's fault.
