Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome

When logging into gnome with the date set incorrectly (about a month in the
past), I got a dialog that told me the date was probably set wrong, which could
cause all manner of bad things. It gave me two options, ignore or adjust date
(or clock, or time, I forget which). When I clicked the adjust button, I got
the following in an error dialog:
The configuration could not be loaded
You are not allowed to access the system configuration.
I hit OK and gnome just hung, requiring a ctrl-alt-backspace combo to restart
it. I reset the date on the command line and was able to boot gnome normally.

This is under ubuntu gutsy with the latest updates installed (as of a
few hours ago).

** Affects: meta-gnome2 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
