Public bug report changed: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/35461
Comment: > Anyway that's a known issue and a duplicate, marking as such. Sorry, I didn't find that existing bug because its title didn't seem related to what I was seeing and I expect I skimmed over it. >> if a plain text file is named with ".","o","g", and "g" > what is the interest to write it that way rather than ".ogg" It is a difficult habit to break. I've had so many prolonged discussions with so many 13 year olds just converted from Windows on slashdot that I've got used to trying to make it look like a really silly naming requirement by pointing out how anal and unuserfriendly it is. Regarding the c description, I was attempting to accurately, and comprehensively highlight some of the usability issues involved, since I don't know what level of technical knowledge (or Linux experience) the triaging volunteers might have. I think this particular bug needed it due to the large number of people migrating from Windows to Linux that might not realise that this is a bug. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
