Aaron, I don't see how you disagree with what i said, at least what i was trying to say.
just to clarify, the point of this being sort of ok, is that gutsy at this time can allows itself doing this kind of stuff because it doesn't reach stable status yet. when it does, all this changes will already be made. If for instance we install or run tribe 6 livecd (if it hasn't been cancellated), we wont face this problem because this new feature will already be present in this sort of stable version, let's better say milestone. so there's nothing to get confused with, if i want to configure my touchpad or mouse, the more obvious place to look is at the mouse configuration. but that is beside the point, what I'm trying to say is that for me at least this is more sort of an upgrade issue than software problem itself. And by the way i believe this is more of gnome-control-center bug for disabling this features, than xserver-xorg-input-synaptics which still works as always, so i'm changing the package. If you think this is work, please feel free to correct it. ** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics => gnome-control-center -- synaptics touchpad won't left click, right click, or vscroll after recent change in gutsy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/140820 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-control-center in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
