Comment: Can you get a backtrace of the gconf-editor crash and open a bug about it? - gdb gconf-editor (gdb) run ... crash (gdb) thread apply all bt I'm reassigning the bug to firefox. The issue is that the binary got renamed from mozilla-firefox to firefox, but you used the preferred application capplet or you something else which set a custom setting for that command.
