Binary package hint: nautilus
It should be possible to eject a cd or dvd during the time that
thumbnails are generated. It is not now. E.g. when I insert a dvd with
several avi movies in the root directory, it takes a while to generate
thumbnails for each file, during which a dialog pops up telling me the
dvd is in use when I try to eject it.
