Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gedit
Steps which I took to produce this bug on my computer: 1. create new untitled file with gedit 2. write a single div and a random text inside of it. (I will attach the file on which gedit crashes, so I'm not going into detail here). 3. try to enclose the random text in any kind of tag by going on the beginning of line and pressing shift + , (meaning '<') 4. gedit then hangs taking all available system resources. I have to manually kill the process to stop Ubuntu from hanging for good (meaning it's not responsive anymore due to lack of resources). ** Affects: gedit (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [gutsy] gedit hangs while editing html file https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/139554 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gedit in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
