You have been subscribed to a public bug: I have this jpg files which comes unmodified from a Nikon D80 camera. When I open it on "Eye of GNOME" the image viewer crashes (using Ubuntu Gutsy Tribe5). I have reported this bug to the EOG team and Claudio Saavedra checked-in a fix for it 2007-09-10 02:58 UTC. I hope you will be able to get this fix into Ubuntu in time for Gutsy.
