Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus
I wish to place an icon on the desktop for the home folder ( /home/USERNAME ). In Feisty I used to be able to do this by selecting Places, then dragging the icon for the Home Holder using SHIFT+ mouse to drag the icon to the desktop. That action would create a nautilus- home.desktop launcher on the desktop. When I try to do that in Gutsy I get a dialog with the message: "You cannot copy a folder into itself." The message then shows "The destination folder is inside the source folder.". ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Cannot place Home Folder icon on Desktop - "you cannot copy a folder into itself" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/131739 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
