Yes, I have the same issue when I try to login with a new user. Also, I have previously stated that I have a new machine. My box is not slow ;-/ mb: abit in-9 32x-max (with upgraded bios) cpu: E6600 ram: 2GB (1066mhz) GFX: Geforce 8800 gts (640mb) This also doesn't happen with 7.04 where login is almost instantaneous. After I get back home from work I will post the xorg.conf and all relevant logs I can think of that might help.
