Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-applets
I have replicated this on 3 machines with different fstab and disk configurations, all running Ubuntu Edgy 7.04. The disk mounter applet shows my partitions as expected when I first log in. If I log out, then log back in, as any user, a 1-pixel-wide area on the panel shows up where I expect to see the disk mount applet, and no drives (not even those which are dynamically mounted and properly show up on the desktop or in the "computer" window in Nautilus) show up there. /usr/lib/gnome-applets/drivemount_applet2 is running as expected. I believe that these other bugs may have been previous reports of the same issue, and they describe the visual impact, but I have filed a new bug because they do not specifically describe the behavior with respect to multiple sessions per boot: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-applets/+bug/116327 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-applets/+bug/17626 ** Affects: gnome-applets (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Disk Mounter applet becomes shy for all desktop sessions except the first after boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/124530 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-applets in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
