That is in fact what I do.  At least on my machine, if you insert a
disk, shove in the tray, and then hit <Make another copy> it will
immediately ask you to insert a disk with a popup that allows you to hit
okay.  Typically I can hit <ok> once a second four or five times before
it takes.  This is why I say the function should discern a disk is being
revved up, if possible, or at worst it should wait some amount of time
before prompting with the popup prematurely.  Perhaps you have a machine
that is faster and not displaying this behavior because of the speed,
but mind definitely does, and it's not that old.  Please reply if this
is still misunderstood.
