Comment: the problem with deactivating is that it stays deactivated if your app crashes i prefer to simulate activity (which poke does) but indeed you can run gnome-screensaver-command --exit on start of your app and start gnome-screensaver on exit -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
