Public bug reported: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/34136
Affects: gnome-volume-manager (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed Description: Note: I am using Dapper. I have an external USB hard drive. This hard drive has its own power switch and power supply. There are two partitions on this drive, one FAT32 and one NTFS. When I want to turn off this drive, I right-click on one of the partitions shown in the "computer:///" in Nautilus and click "Eject" (since "Unmount Volume" is not in that menu anymore. Then I turn off the drive's power. When I turn the drive back on, it is not re-detected or re-mounted. In fact, the drive is not re-detected or re-mounted when I unplug it from my USB port and then plug it back in. There seems to be nothing short of rebooting that will cause GNOME to remount the drive. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
