Yes, the individual packages need to disable the screensaver while they are 
running.  I personally don't agree with you, though.  Setting screensaver 
timeout to 1 minute makes no sense when you're going to do a presentation.  If 
you're not changing slides often enough to keep your screensaver off, perhaps 
the "bug" is in your boring presentation! :-P
Also, "full-screen" mode does NOT equal "presentation" mode.  Especially e.g. 
pressing F11 in Firefox, this does not mean the screensaver shouldn't activate 
at all.  I don't imagine the Firefox people will ever put that code in.  You 
just need to disable the screensaver yourself if it's a problem in your rather 
particular situation.
