Comment: Ah alright, I thought it was a difference between gnome-vfs and local filesystems. I didn't notice why a submenu was used in one situation and not in the other. With 2 "Open with" options and the "Open with other application" the options will be in the menu itself. If you have 3 "Open with" options and the "Open with other application", a submenu will be created. That is a reasonable choice, and things are clear now with this explanation.
