Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/31537

Affects: gnome-menus (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
NOTE: This was reported under the "old" bug reporting system, but I
can't find it.

Items and sub-folders in the Applications menu seem to appear and
disappear at random.

I have used Alacarte to mark some KDE items as invisible, but from time
to time they reappear. Then they will later disappear from the menus
again. This all happens during the same Gnome session.

Also, the sub-menus for Crossover Office keep doing the same as above.

I believe from the original bug report, if my memory serves me right,
this was caused by some bug in the kernel. Supposedly it was going to be
fixed; obviously it has not.

Running a "stock" Breezy i386 system here, ie, no homegrown kernels,
etc.
