Comment: Hi, I had to stop using Ubuntu for a while, and am just now getting back to it. To address your suggestions, booting with noapic had no effect. And I can confirm that the bug still exists in Dapper. I did a fully clean install of Dapper on my machine, so I'm quite certain that it's nothing that I've corrupted myself.
