I found the problem. It seems there is an additional undocumented command line switch that needs to be added to the end of the line for it to work.
So, instead of ADDFOOTER external nonzero "f:\imail\declude\footer32.exe -oo %INOROUT% -yf f:\imail\declude\footer_%LOCALHOST%.txt" 0 0 use this ADDFOOTER external nonzero "f:\imail\declude\footer32.exe -oo %INOROUT% -yf f:\imail\declude\footer_%LOCALHOST%.txt -f" 0 0 and it works fine, where footer_example.com.txt is the text file containing the footer for the domain example.com.
