I have tested it with smartermail and it works fine. The only problem with
declude and SmarterMail is declude can not whitelist authenticated users. I
have spoken with declude and SmarterMail about this and SmarterMail has
indicated that when version 3 is released it will have a way to notify
declude of an authenticated user.

The authentication issue is the only thing holding us back from switching to
SmarterMail.
