Thanks for the link. Looking quickly through it, however, it seems it does not document specifically what I was searching for: specific nv support for RandR. Maybe I missed it.Olivier Cailloux <olivier.caill...@gmail.com> (25/07/2008):So to put it in once sentence: please provide some information in the nv man page about the functionalities supported, by model type. Or provide a link to an official doc (up-to-date), or something. It shouldn't take long, just a few sentences would be enough...Would http://www.x.org/wiki/Projects/XRandR sound like the right place? I still think that clear documentation should be provided (in the man page?) about the question: does nv support RandR 1.2. So that people do not waste time trying to make it work if the answer is no. (And if it is yes, at least they now it is worth searching.) Thanks, but I don't have this computer any more, and thus not this problem any more.I searched for a long time how to make RandR work on my board, especially considering that typing xrandr --version on my terminal reports a 1.2 version. Now I realised that (I think) nv does not yet support 1.2 for my board, so it was a waste of time. I think the current doc in the man page is misleading about that topic. You may want to try out -nouveau from experimental with current Xorg components from unstable. Shouldn't be worse than -nv.
