Could you catch a debugging backtrace with 'bt full' in gdb after installing libgl1-mesa-dri-dbg? You'll have to attach gdb to X from another machine with ssh. Then the backtrace needs to be sent to bugzilla.freedesktop.org product Mesa component Drivers/DRI/R200.
