Both of these issues seems to have disappeared, possibly after some
recent X update in unstable. The -video-intel package is still the
same version, and I'm running the exact same kernel. I think this
probably only was a problem in xserver-xorg-core 2:1.6.1.901-3.
My guess is this bug can be safely closed.
