Hi! FYI: I just upgraded my current Sid machine to Linux 2.6.30. For my paticular configuration, Linux 2.6.30 seems to completely fix the experienced performance problems.
I did no synthetic benchmarks as the overall user experience is simply flawless now, even smoother than with kernel 2.6.26 and no comparison at all to the mess produced by 2.6.29. So I guess this bug could be closed with the upload of 2.6.30 to unstable - does anyone think this bug should be re-assigned to the kernel package? Greetings, Gunter
