Does it actually crash ? (you would see X restart and gdm/xdm/kdm ask for a login) Or does it hang/freeze ? (cannot do anything anymore except maybe moving the mouse pointer) We need the log after the "crash". I should be in /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old if X restarted only one since the crash.
