Hello I use this simple script to set up keyboard as I could not find a tool that would do that for me: setxkbmap -v 10 -layout us,cz_qwerty -model pc105 -option "" setxkbmap -v 10 -layout us,cz_qwerty -model pc105 -option ctrl:nocaps,altwin:meta_win,group:shifts_toggle,level3:menu_switch,numpad:microsoft,grp_led:scroll,grp:shifts_toggle I could undrstand that soem more exotic option might get dropped but even the first command fails: Setting verbose level to 10 locale is C Warning! Multiple definitions of keyboard model Using command line, ignoring X server Warning! Multiple definitions of keyboard layout Using command line, ignoring X server Applied rules from evdev: model: pc105 layout: us,cz_qwerty Trying to build keymap using the following components: keycodes: evdev+aliases(qwerty) types: complete compat: complete symbols: pc+us+cz_qwerty:2+inet(evdev) geometry: pc(pc105) Error loading new keyboard description Setting verbose level to 10 locale is C So xkb is either broken it it works differently again which is as good as broken.
